Designed to meet the growing demands of the luxury global spa market, The Advanced Spa Therapy Education & Certification Council (ASTECC) features a comprehensive 264 hour post graduate spa education curriculum composed of 11 individually certified components. The 120 hour post graduate ASTECC Esthetician curriculum is composed of 7 individually certified components. ASTECC partners with resort and destination spas in the United States and Europe. In addition to on-site training, ASTECC offers non-property affiliated therapists a year round schedule of classes in Palm Beach, Florida and at participating ASTECC spas around the country. ASTECC will host four introductory classes at the upcoming April 22-24 IECSC Show in New York City and Anne Bramham will speak on "Inspiration, Value & The Art of Spa Development". Montage corporate ASTECC instructor, Diane Okamura, Adrienne Keegan and Pamela Dryden will assist in the classroom. ASTECC's calendar of events include: "Inspiration, Value & The Art of Spa Development" (75 minutes) Focusing on the creative building blocks of spa development, consultant and ASTECC founder Anne Bramham discusses the role of value in creating a successful spa wellness model. Whether developing a multimillion dollar resort spa or an owner operated facility, the session explores the vital role of treatment programs in creating an identity that reflects the values and intention of your property Introduction to Dr. Vodder's Manual Lymph Drainage ( 5 hours) Focusing on the anti-inflammatory and rejuvenating applications of Dr. Vodder's Manual Lymph Drainage in esthetic and spa wellness settings, this 5 hour NCBTMB approved interactive workshop introduces students to the anatomy of the lymph vessel system and provides instruction in MLD techniques and protocol from Dr. Vodder's Basic Neck and Face program. Attending students qualify for a $100.00 voucher toward any ASTECC sponsored Dr. Vodder training. Skin Analysis & Treatment Planning: A Holistic Approach ( 2 hours) Skin, as our mirror organ, reflects the condition of both our external and internal environment. By understanding how to identify the underlying source of common conditions such as skin eruptions, acne, inflammation, puffy eyes and pigmentation, students gain insight as to how to implement an effective plan of therapeutic action. Focusing on meridians and oriental face reading as viable tools for analysis, this two hour session explores the fundamental connection between the health of our skin and the health of our body while demonstrating the power and efficacy of organic, holistic skin care. Approved by NCBTMB for 2 CE units, attending students qualify for a $50.00 voucher toward any ASTECC sponsored training. The Perfect Touch: Aroma-Reflex (2 hours) The skin serves as the facilitator of change when essential oils coupled with intentional touch are introduced as the medium for treatment and rebalancing. Inspired by oriental face & body reading, this subtle light touch rejuvenating therapy explores the connection between body and mind. Approved by NCBTMB for 2 CE units, the 2 hour workshop provides instruction in the application of constitutional based essential oils and facial techniques. Attending students receive a 'constitutional based' essential oil for personal use and qualify for a $50.00 voucher toward any ASTECC sponsored training. The Art & Science of Practical Hydrotherapy (2 hours) This 2 hour NCBTMB approved interactive workshop introduces esthetic and spa practitioners to the dramatically rejuvenating effects of simple to do, low cost, high return hydrotherapy techniques. Lecture details the influence of temperature on the circulatory system. Practical training includes instruction in contrasting temperature facial compresses.
