BASIC NECK & FACE
Easily incorporated into a repertoire of basic skin care, MLD encourages the elimination of metabolic waste while accelerating the flow of fresh oxygen and nutrients. Lecture details the basic anatomy and physiology of the lymph vessel system, MLD’s effects, indications and contraindications. Practical training includes instruction in MLD techniques and neck and face protocols. 20 Hours.
ADVANCED NECK & FACE
Designed to broaden understanding of the lymph vessel system and to introduce specific therapeutic techniques, Advanced Neck & Face focuses on pre and post cosmetic healing, skin regeneration and the treatment of common skin conditions including acne, rosacea, congestion and other inflammatory disorders. 20 Hours.
Students are introduced to the anatomy and physiology of the lymph vessel system, the body’s transportation system and fluid balance. Practical training includes instruction in MLD strokes, techniques and protocols for individual body parts. 40 Hours.
Focusing on fine tuning technique and introducing therapeutic specials, Advanced Body provides instruction in applications specific to esthetic practice including pre- and post-cosmetic surgery, scar treatment; cellulite; dermatological indications and whole body skin care. 40 Hours.
DR. VODDER’S MLD
Recognized by the international spa, clinical wellness and medical communities, Dr. Vodder’s Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) is a versatile, non-invasive, light touch therapy indicated for over 60 different pathologies including Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia, Cellulite, Chronic ENT Infections, Burns, Acne, Scars, Constipation, Bells Palsy, Eczema, Psoriasis, sport injuries and various inflammatory processes.
Students are introduced to the anatomy and physiology of the lymph vessel system, the body’s transportation system and fluid balance. Practical training includes instruction in MLD strokes, techniques and protocols for individual body parts. 40 CE Hours.
Introducing therapeutic applications including special techniques for the joints, head (including intra-oral) and abdomen, Therapy 1 training reviews Basic sequences and fine tunes technique. Advanced theory and current research is discussed. An oral, written and practical exam is given to test the student’s competence in Basic techniques and theory. 40 CE Hours.
This two day, 16 hour Dr. Vodder’s Clinical Wellness training focuses on the specific use of MLD in spa and / or medical wellness settings. The training immediately follows the Therapy I 40 hour class and must be taken in conjunction with Therapy I. Focusing on the specific use of MLD in both leisure and medical wellness settings, Clinical Wellness training concentrates on treatment protocols for sport injuries, chronic illness, pre and post cosmetic surgery, dermatological indications, cellulite, fluid retention, trauma and common stress related conditions including digestive issues, insomnia, sinusitis, and headaches. 16 CE Hours.
CLINICAL WELLNESS BRIDGE
With a focus on chronic pain, injuries and lifestyle disorders, this 3-day, 24-hour Clinical Wellness Bridge Certification training is open to Vodder School CDT therapists and practitioners who have successfully completed Basic and Therapy 1. Instruction in therapeutic techniques and treatment protocols for specific, non-pathological conditions will focus on trauma, sports injuries, pre- and post- cosmetic surgery, dermatological indications, acute inflammation and common stress related conditions including digestive issues, insomnia, sinusitis and headaches. An oral written and practical exam is given to test the student’s competence in Basic techniques, MLD theory and the application of clinical wellness methods. 24 CE Hours.
CLINICAL WELLNESS WORKSHOP
Designed to expand the range and application of MLD services in spa, wellness and clinical environments, this five day, 40 hour Workshop & Review fine tunes MLD therapeutic skills while focusing on treatment protocols for lifestyle related disorders. Areas of concentration include but are not limited to chronic pain, fibromyalgia, migraines, skin conditions, digestive issues and post cosmetic recovery. A number of individuals suffering with lifestyle related disorders will participate as Case Study Subjects and one of the goals of the Workshop is to observe and measure the accumulative effects of MLD treatments. Dr. Vodder instructor Anne Bramham is joined by Dr Gabrielle Knaus, M.D. (a certified Dr. Vodder MLD therapist) who will oversee and record the results. Case study participants receive two 90 minute treatments daily. The Workshop also reviews theory and explores in some detail the marketing opportunities of MLD in the evolving health and wellness marketplace. Attending students will satisfy Clinical Wellness (Spa Wellness) re-certification requirements. 40 CE Hours.
